Access Group launches $100k grant to ease SME software costs

The Access Group has recently unveiled a significant initiative, earmarking $100,000 in Small Business Software Grants for ten carefully selected businesses.

Alongside this generous financial support, the company is also offering complimentary software health checks to all entrants, aimed at diagnosing and addressing software-related challenges faced by businesses.

Against the backdrop of a concerning trend in business failure rates, with 58.5% of small businesses succumbing between June 2019 and June 2023 according to the ABS, and substantial annual software expenditures totaling $38 billion for these organizations, Access recognizes the pivotal role software plays in organizational success. This trend is set to persist, with Gartner predicting a 7.8% growth in IT spending in Australia in 2024.

Kerry Agiasotis, Access APAC President, emphasizes the company’s commitment to supporting businesses grappling with technological change and rising operational costs. As a global software provider with over 30 years of experience and a customer base exceeding 60,000, Access aims to make a tangible impact by providing ten grants of $10,000 each to small businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

This initiative goes beyond the typical promotional offerings, providing real and lasting value to bolster the survival rates of businesses crucial to the nation’s economy. Access is not only extending financial support but is also offering a free software health check to every business that applies, addressing issues such as cash flow challenges, slow growth, escalating costs, and other operational hurdles.

Access Group’s comprehensive software solutions cater to diverse industries and job functions, spanning warehouses, restaurants, healthcare providers, accountants, recruiters, payroll professionals, not-for-profit organizations, and construction firms. Beyond financial aid, Access is committed to assisting businesses in diagnosing and resolving their most pressing issues through this holistic approach.

With 81% of Access software products priced under $10,000 annually, the grants are poised to make a tangible difference, covering the cost of software for three years in 42% of cases. The initiative is not a short-term fix or momentary promotion but a strategic opportunity for businesses to streamline their systems and proactively navigate the challenges anticipated in 2024.

Mr. Agiasotis emphasizes that the grants are not exclusive to new customers, showcasing a commitment to equitable support for both existing and new clients. This initiative reflects Access Group’s dedication to empowering businesses with the tools they need to enhance productivity, ensure profitability, and weather the challenges of the evolving business landscape.
