Australian Made launches in South Australia

The not-for-profit organisation that administers and promotes Australia’s country-of-origin certification trademark is set to launch in South Australia.

Partnering with Business SA, Chairman Glenn Cooper said he believes the South Australian business community will greatly benefit from local access to information about the Australian Made, Australian Grown logo.

“SA is a hub for manufacturing and growing in Australia, and this initiative will help to promote and support local industry,” Mr Cooper said.

Indeed Mr Cooper has a unique perspective on the impact the logo can have – his Australian-made Coopers Brewery beers carry the logo.

“We’ve found the logo to be very helpful in letting our customers know that our beers, like our company, are 100 per cent Australian and it has proved to be an excellent marketing tool for us.”

The recognizable Australian Made, Australian Grown kangaroo logo is used by more than 2,000 companies on more than 15,000 products sold in Australia and around the world.

The annual licence fee for using the logo is calculated based on the actual sales of licensed products for the previous 12 months. The minimum fee is $300 plus GST for annual sales up to $300,000.
