It’s Awards season… have you got your entry in?

The chance to be recognised as an outstanding entrepreneur and small business operator is something that can work wonders for any business – and there are a number of opportunities currently on offer.

The Hills Young Innovator of the Year Award

The search is on for Australia’s best young ICT innovators, with the best and brightest being invited to pitch for cash and mentoring support to help bring their mobile, big data and cloud innovations to life.

Hills Chief Technology Officer, Leica Ison said the new awards demonstrated the company’s commitment to growing the technology sector and driving Australia’s digital future.

“Hills’ tradition of innovation began in 1945 with the Hills Hoist and continues today as we deliver innovative solutions in security, health systems, smart home and beyond to millions of Australian homes and businesses,” she said.

“We are passionate about fostering Australian creativity, talent and ingenuity which is why we are offering support to our best, brightest and youngest ICT innovators.

“These Awards will allow us to put the spotlight on Australia’s most talented and technologically minded young people and place them firmly on the radar of the country’s most sought after employers and investors.”

The Hills Young Innovator Award recognises the most outstanding innovations from an individual 25 years or younger in three categories; Mobile, Big Data and Cloud.

A $5,000 cash prize will be awarded in each category for concepts that have the most innovative thought processes and the greatest potential for impact in the industry irrespective of what stage of implementation has been achieved.

Nominations for the Young Innovator of the Year are now open and close 1 August. More information is available here.
