CashBook Online launches for use by micro-businesses and soletraders

Reckon Limited has made its latest software, CashBook Online, available, enabling business owners to record income and expenses, reconcile bank accounts, prepare GST returns and manage cash flow at any time.

Designed specifically for micro-businesses and soletraders, CashBook online forms part of Reckon’s commitment to make a difference to way SMEs, accountants, banks and other stakeholders interact.

“It is thrilling to me that today we have made available a product that offers the simplest usability and design possible, and it’s very affordable. Business owners who are not using an automated accounting system right now will be pleased to see how simple CashBook Online makes recording payments and receipts,” Reckon Business Division CEO Gavin Dixon said.

According to Dixon, the software is designed for users that need less functionality than that offered by QuickBooks, and those who spend less time using computers.

“A sole-trader, for example, can simply enter money coming in and going out on-the-go and then quickly review how the business is performing with straightforward graphs and reports.”

Key features of CashBook Online include:

  • Automatic bank feeds;
  • The ability to work online and offline;
  • Recording of payments and receipts;
  • GST management;
  • Sophisticated reporting;
  • Quick sharing options so the CashBook can be accessed by the business owner and accounting professionals (accountants, bookkeepers etc) at the same time; and
  • The ability to create an unlimited number of cashbooks and transactions.

CashBook Online is priced at $198 per year. After the first year users can opt to renew annually or monthly at $18.15 per month including GST.
