As the collaborative nature of the business sector continues to grow in size and importance, companies like LogMeIn are using the latest movements in technology to ensure businesses have scalable solutions in today’s connected world.

With a firm eye on collaboration, customer engagement, and the incorporation of technology in business maneuvers, LogMeIn has been at the forefront of some of the most transformative tech trends since the company was founded in Budapest, Hungary, in 2003.

Fast-forward over ten years and the company, which now has over 700 full-time employees and offices around the world, has become one of the leaders in helping businesses capitalize on the rise in global connectivity.

One of the company’s key steps towards being a prominent fixture in the increasingly expanding collaborative market was the launch of join.me, a quick to start and simple to use online meeting solutions tool. While most web conferencing tools were designed to replicate the formal, boardroom style meetings, join.me takes an instant, intuitive approach to uniquely address the needs of the mobile workforce. Put simply, join.me is a secure online meeting app that requires no set up and downloads, and it comes at a cheaper price than other web conferencing tools.

Satmetrix used NPS, the popular metric for measuring and acting on customer loyalty data, in independent research commissioned by LogMeIn. The results revealed a join.me NPS score of 48, higher than the scores obtained by GoToMeeting (31), Microsoft Lync (25) and WebEx (19).

The NPS data highlighted ease of use and pricing as significant factors as to why people are choosing the system over other solutions. Perhaps most importantly, it is join.me’s simplicity that is pushing more businesses and individuals to take it on board. Simplicity, in this day and age, will inevitably save businesses time and money.

It’s join.me’s freemium model and disruptive pricing that has given tens of millions of people, who never had access to such a tool, the opportunity to embrace and benefit from online screen sharing and collaboration. And having been born in the era of smartphones and tablets, join.me has been designed with a mobile-first, multi-device perspective, making it simpler to use on virtually any work or personal device.

A Frost & Sullivan 2014 report revealed a 10.5 per cent rise in the global web conferencing market during 2013, reaching $2.0 billion in revenue. The demand is growing rapidly and there is a surge in usage, mostly driven by wider deployments and growing use cases. Web conferencing software and services are forecast to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.8 per cent from 2013 to 2018, to reach $3.05 billion by 2018. It’s no wonder LogMeIn is continuing to attract millions of users and thousands of businesses – including 90 per cent of the Fortune 500.

LogMeIn forecast a revenue growth of 30+ per cent in 2014 and will be reporting their fourth quarter and fiscal year 2014 financial results later this month. A LogMeIn rep tells Dynamic Business there are 3 factors set to continue to drive the company’s growth:

  • Increasing market adoption of its most popular product, join.me
  • Increased traction on its historically strong market of SMB IT
  • Early traction in the IoT

As join.me’s team rapidly expands, sales increase and marketing investment continues to grow, it seems to be only a matter of time before most business has LogMeIn tools in play.
