All design bases covered on Freelancer.com

Freelancer.com has expanded its crowdsourcing feature to accommodate all design categories, allowing small business owners access to a wide range of design needs including logos, smartphone app mockups, Photoshop editing and even personalised Twitter backgrounds.

Freelancer.com now covers 18 design categories, and allows users the option of posting a generic design job, which begin at $100, should they be confused about where their requirements fit.

According to Product Strategy Vice President Greta Stojanovic, Freelancer.com features over 700,000 registered designers and attracts over 12,000 design projects a month.

“The dominance of our marketplace is intrinsically tied to the skill of our design community. Expanding our contest site strengthens our core business and helps build small and medium businesses that rely on outsourcing or crowdsourcing to stay competitive.”

To create a design contest, users just need to post a brief containing their design requirements along with the amount of prize money they wish to pay (prizes start from $100). Interested designers respond by submitting their designs and, with no limit to the number of entries they can submit, users may receive hundreds of original designs.

“Entrepreneurs and small and medium business owners can literally get just about anything designed for their businesses through a Freelancer.com design contest and we’re excited to give designers new ways to find work, by showcasing their considerable talents.”

“With commissions starting at only 3% for gold members, ours is the most lucrative design marketplace in the world for designers,” Stojanovic added.
