Promoting your social media sites, without using social media

Do you want to promote your social media sites and gain new followers? Then you need to tell more people about your social media pages and make it easy for them to find you, and this means promoting your presence outside of the social media sphere.

Here are a few ways you can promote your social media sites not using social media.

1. Add links to your email signature:

Include a link to all your social media pages in your email signature. This will give everyone you email the opportunity to connect with you through social media. With links to your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn account that can simply be clicked on, it becomes easy for people to follow you.

2. Add your social media platforms to your business cards:

Your business card tells people who you are, where you are and how you can be contacted. This is the perfect way to let people know how to reach you on social media. Include your Twitter, Facebook, blog and LinkedIn addresses alongside the usual details that go on a business card. If the link is too long for people to type out then use a link shortening website to create an easier web address.

3. Add links to your eNewsletter:

Your business’ eNewsletter is sent out to people who have subscribed to read about your business or expertise on a regular basis. They may want to extend this relationship by following you on social media and reading more about your business.

Use your newsletter to direct your subscribers to your social media pages and keep them interested with updates of anything exciting happening in your business. You could even include a helpful blog post or picture on your eNewsletter and direct your readers to your social media pages to read the full post or see the full photo album.

4. Include links on your website:

Websites are usually the first thing people look for when they search for your business online. This means you need to include links to all your social media pages on your website.

There are different logo buttons available for each social media outlet that you can include on your website making these links obvious and easy to find. At the end of each article or comment you can also include a button for your readers to share it with their social networks. For example include a button for readers to ‘like’ your article on Facebook.

Not everyone uses social media, which means they may not find your business’ social media pages on their own. By promoting your social media pages not using social media you can attract a different audience to your business and attract the people not already on these platforms.
