2023 Women’s business awards finalists announced

Amidst a vast pool of contenders spanning the nation, the curtains have risen on the Business Services Finalists List for the esteemed 2023 Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards.

This distinguished program stands as a tribute to Australia’s remarkable and influential women in small business, celebrating their inspiring contributions to the economic and social fabric of the nation.

In its second consecutive year, the 2023 Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards encompasses an extensive array of over 65 categories, evaluated by an independent panel of experts well-versed in the intricacies of small business operations.

This year’s awards program shines a spotlight on businesswomen who are pioneering growth and innovation, encompassing urban and regional landscapes across the country. The program has garnered recognition as the only national annual awards initiative of its kind, aiming to showcase the remarkable scope of women’s contributions across various industries and sectors.

Amongst the most highly contested categories, the Business Services segment emerges as a focal point. Steve Loe, Awards Founder and Managing Director of Precedent Productions, the orchestrating entity behind the awards, notes the remarkable influx of entrants in this category, making the task of selecting finalists an intricate challenge.

“The caliber and number of entrants in the Business Services category has been truly astounding. Selecting this year’s finalists has been no easy feat,” said Loe. The judging process is rigorous, encompassing an assessment of various facets of small businesses, including strategies, innovation initiatives, customer service, vision, growth, and community involvement.

With a commendable array of finalists in the Business Services category, the upcoming round of judging promises to be even more demanding. The finalists, comprised of remarkable female-led small businesses in the marketing services sector, exhibit exceptional qualities that align with the judging criteria.

In addition to honoring category winners, the 2023 Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards will celebrate individual accomplishments in four categories: Young Small Business Champion Woman Entrepreneur (aged 30 and younger), Small Business Champion Woman Entrepreneur (aged over 30), Australian Small Business Champion Influential Woman, and Australian Small Business Champion Icon.

The awards will be unveiled during the National Presentation Evening Gala Event on Saturday, September 23. This much-anticipated event, often referred to as the ‘Logies’ of small business, will be hosted by renowned journalist and broadcaster Deborah Knight at the newly-built Western Sydney Conference Centre in Penrith, New South Wales.
