St.George bank has pledged a worthwhile offer to support small business – and you don’t even need to be a customer.
Unveiled in Chatswood, Sydney this week by the Minister for Small Business Bruce Billson, the new business hub is the first in a new program to better support Australian small business.
St.George CEO George Frazis said the new initiative is a free, full-service office space for small businesses, with more bankers, investment and support on hand.
“I’m extremely excited to announce the launch of St.George Business Hub, which is a fantastic office space we’ve created for any small business to use while they get their business up and running. The St.George funded work space in Chatswood will be the first in a series of Business Hubs we’ll be opening around the country, to help our business customers get a head start,” Frazis said.
The space includes bays of both Mac and PC computers, as well as private meeting rooms and on-hand support services. Businesses can apply to use the space for anything from one day, to three weeks.
“We also know that access to funding remains a key issue for small business, so we want to tell small businesses that St.George has the capability and capacity to support their investment and growth goals,” the CEO said.
“Access to finance remains a serious issue for many start-ups and small businesses and it’s great to see St.George getting on board and helping out the sector,” Billson said.
“Hubs provide a fantastic venue for small businesses to work on their ideas and to network with other like-minded people,” Billson added.
St.George Business Hub launches in November in Chatswood, Sydney, with more sites planned across the country, including a second Sydney site in the CBD shortly.
