AC/DC tops BRW rich entertainers list

AC/DC tops Australia’s rich entertainers list
AC/DC have topped the 2009 BRW list of 50 highest-earning Australian entertainers, raking in an estimated $105 million in the past year.
The rock group beat out entertainers such as Kylie Minogue and the Wiggles to take top billing, thanks to the success of their latest album, Black Ice, and a global tour.
Kylie Minogue took second spot with an estimated $47 million, while children’s entertainers The Wiggles were knocked off the top spot for the first time in four years, to take third position, earning $45 million in the financial year.
Radio personalities climbed up the list this year, with comedic duo Hamish Blake and Andy Lee making the list for the first time, while controversial duo Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O also made the list, despite the controversy generated by their show earlier this year.
